Mark Jackson is a former NBA player & coach. He originally helped form the Golden State Warriors super team of players like Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, & Andre Iguodala. In a recent podcast with the Breakfast Club, Andre Iguodala revealed that the NBA has 'Blackballed the former NBA star & head coach for his Christian values.
Mark Jackson has a traditional Christian world-view on gender & marriage. For those that don't know, that is there are only men & women, and marriage is supposed to be reserved only for men & women together. In a recent Twitter hashtag storm, the news is out on this & many people are upset as this discrimination takes the NBA towards some bad press. There are too many companies already censoring people's speech & coming for their ability to think or even exercise their religious views. The NBA is supposed to be about basketball. It should be about more than basketball as well, due to the NBA players doing a lot to help their communities in many ways, such as NBA superstar LeBron James creating a school in Akron, Ohio in order to ensure there are programs for kids in an area where he grew up. So the question is, why is the NBA now dictating what religious views or opinions their coaches & staff can have? This is not a good look for the National Basketball Association.
